Tatty Bumpkin classes are inspired by Yoga moves, but based around the amazing Tatty Bumpkin bendy doll. The doll is the secret weapon in engaging children, parents and teachers alike. The core age range is 2 yrs-6 years (give or take!) and are a mixture of stories, physical moves, music and interactive play. The concept has been devised by Yoga teachers, Physiotherapists, musicians and educationalists to provide a structured, therapeutic, but most importantly FUN environment. The sessions work brilliantly as a children's party, day nurseries or after-school clubs as an antidote to some of the more hectic aspects of childrens play. My name is Clare Whitworth and I run Tatty Bumpkin classes mainly in the Calderdale area. I run weekly classes in Hebden Bridge and the surrounding area, but have been known to travel as far afield as Goole! In addition to teaching Tatty Bumpkin classes I am an holistic therapist, offering treatments such as aromatherapy massage and products, Hopi ear candling, and Bach flower remedies. I have started running Baby Bumpkin classes, for children from 6 weeks old. Please contact me for more information. Tatty Bumpkin recently got CACHE accreditation for classes, and was the winner of 'Best Activity Class' in the 'What'son4littleones.com' 2008 awards. This award meant a lot as it is voted for by parents. |
